COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
SIMULATOR, ARRHYTHMIA, ECG
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers a ECG/Arrhythmia simulator suitable for use in testing functions of arrhythmia monitoring systems.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be a portable, battery operated, simulator capable of testing functions of arrhythmia monitoring systems. Shall be capable of simulating a normal rhythm and 17 common arrhythmias for the purpose of testing the recognition capabilities and proper operation of rate alarm and detection protocol. The following waveform selections shall be provided:
a. VPBI
b. Multifocal run
c. Missed beat
d. Fusion beat
e. VBP 2
f. Couplet (pair)
g. Run
h. R on T wave
i. Asystole
j. Ventricular Fibrillation
k. Atrial Fibrillation
l. Heart block
m. Regular rhythm
n. Paced rhythm
o. Tachycardia
p. Bradycardia
q. Ventricular tachycardia
r. Bigeminy
The instrument shall provide for 12 lead connections. Shall be capable of providing outputs of 1 mV and 1V into lead II. The maximum weight shall be 1 lb. (0.45 kg).
Workmanship. The simulator shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producers’ own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
